suppress mailchimp footer

I'm not using a template and do not want to, but have so far been unable to find a way using this library to suppress the mailchimp footer. I found the AutoFooter boolean in the Campaign Options class but setting that to false doesn't work for me, the footer is still visible.

Here's what I'm trying to do in C#, am I doing this completely wrong?

MailChimp.MCApi mailChimpAPI = new MailChimp.MCApi(mailChimpAPIKey, true);

MailChimp.Types.Campaign.Options campaignOptions = new MailChimp.Types.Campaign.Options(listID, MessageSubject, FromEmail, FromName, "Valued Customer");
campaignOptions.Title = CampaignName;
campaignOptions.AutoFooter = false// is this broken?

MailChimp.Types.Campaign.Content.Html html = new MailChimp.Types.Campaign.Content.Html{ Html = CampaignHTML, Text = CampaignText };

string campaignID = mailChimpAPI.CampaignCreate(MailChimp.Types.Campaign.Type.Regular, campaignOptions, html);

The campaign is created fine and the CampaignCreate returns its ID, but when I send it it gets sent with the standard MailChimp footer.

Also the CampaignHTML string above has the required footer fields in it at the end...

<hr>
*|UNSUB|*<br>
*|LIST_ADDRESS|*

Any help is appreciated.

Hi. If your account is free, you cannot suppress their footer. Only paid accounts can manipulate this:
