[SOLVED] Embedding Images via Mandrill

Jun 13, 2013 at 3:58 PM
Hi

I want to to be able to pass an Image through to embed in the email using the Mandrill Message.
This doesn't appear to be an option via the API.

Is it easy enough to add it to the API?

Thanks

Hi denisk1981

Thanks for the reply.

The Mandrill API Documentaton has a parameter for Images in the Send & SendTemplate messages. Similar structure to the Attachments in the Message parameter.
Using the wrapper though I could not find a method for it in the same way I can create attachments and add them to the message.

images
array
an array of embedded images to add to the message
images[]
struct
a single embedded image
type
string
the MIME type of the image - must start with "image/"
name
string
the Content ID of the image - use <img src="cid:THIS_VALUE"> to reference the image in your HTML content
content
string
the content of the image as a base64-encoded string

Thanks

In fact, I added "Images" property to the message structure. Get the latest version.
